Switching from Yell

Yell sells a managed package that can include a website. We sell a site you pay for once, with the domain in your name. This page uses Yell’s own published figures. It is a comparison, not a complaint about them.

What you keep

Your business name, your photos, and any words you are allowed to reuse. A Google Business Profile is a Google account. Yell may update listings for you while you are a customer. Ask them which of those listings they will stop looking after if you leave. We will not pretend we know their offboarding.

Reviews on Yell stay on Yell. We won’t copy them onto your site unless you can show we are allowed to.

What you would stop paying

Checked on 21 October 2026 against Yell’s solutions page. These are Yell’s figures, not ours, and a quote can differ.

  • The plan cards say Amplify starts at £299 a month, and Accelerate starts at £699 a month.
  • The FAQ on the same page says Amplify starts from £249 a month, and Accelerate starts from £699 a month.

The page says both, so we are showing both rather than picking the lower one. It does not put a contract length next to those figures, so we are not stating a minimum term here.

Cancelling is Yell’s process. We don’t do it for you. You can stay with Yell and still have your own site. The packages on our offer page are one payment, not a monthly marketing plan.

How the move works

  1. Ask for a free homepage preview. Tell us what you do and where.
  2. If you want the site, you approve the words and pick a package. Nothing is due before you have seen a draft.
  3. We connect a domain you control, or we register one in your name. That is for a one-off package. On pay-monthly the domain stays in Quorum Digital’s name until you buy it out.
  4. You ask Yell what ends, what you can take, and whose name the domain is in. Do that before you cancel.

What happens to your domain

Yell’s solutions page describes a website as part of the package. On 21 October 2026 that page did not say the domain is registered in your name.

If the name is in your name at a registrar, we can point it at the new site. If it is in Yell’s account, you need their transfer process, and we can’t pull it out ourselves. A new name, if you want one, is registered in your name. Renewal later is the registrar’s fee. That is for a one-off package. On pay-monthly the domain stays in Quorum Digital’s name until you buy it out.

Other places people move from

How these one-off prices sit next to monthly plans is on how much a small business website costs.
