Switching from Wix
Wix is a builder. You pay to keep the premium features, including a custom domain. We build plain pages, you pay once, and the code sits in a repository you can open. That is the difference. Wix is a normal way to put a site up.
What you keep
The words and photos that are yours. Copy them out before you cancel anything, so you still have them if the Wix site comes down. We can use that material on the new pages.
The Wix layout does not travel as a file we paste in. We rebuild the pages. A domain you bought elsewhere, and only connected to Wix, stays at the registrar you bought it from.
What you would stop paying
Checked on 21 October 2026 against Wix’s plans page.
- There is a free plan.
- The page shows yearly prices in US dollars, and it says those dollars are for reference only: Light $17.77, Core $29.77, Business $39.77, Business Elite $159.77.
- It also says prices and currency vary by location, tax is extra, and the final price is on the purchase page.
We are not converting those dollars into pounds. A UK checkout can show a different figure, and it can include a discount that does not last. Check the purchase page before you compare it with a one-off build.
Wix says a premium plan is how you connect a custom domain and remove Wix branding. What a cancelled plan actually leaves behind is in Wix’s own terms. We will not guess that part. Our prices are on the offer page: one payment, then the site is yours.
How the move works
- Copy out the text and photos you want to keep.
- Ask for a free homepage preview, with the trade and the town.
- If you want the site, you approve the words and pick a package. Nothing is due before you have seen a draft.
- We connect a domain you control, or we register one in your name. That is for a one-off package. On pay-monthly the domain stays in Quorum Digital’s name until you buy it out. You cancel Wix yourself, when you are ready, not before the new site is up.
What happens to your domain
Wix’s plans page says you can connect a domain you already own. It also describes a one-year free domain voucher on some premium plans. That voucher is for a new domain bought from Wix. Wix says it cannot be used to renew a domain, and it cannot be used on a domain you already own.
If the name is registered at Wix, moving it is Wix’s transfer. If you only connected a name you already owned, the registration never left your registrar, and we can point it at the new site. A new name is registered in your name. Renewal later is the registrar’s fee. That is for a one-off package. On pay-monthly the domain stays in Quorum Digital’s name until you buy it out.
