Switching

Switching from a Facebook page

A Facebook page is a sensible place for people who already know you. It is not the same as a site you own. Plenty of firms do fine with the page and nothing else. This is when a site is worth adding, and when it isn’t.

What you keep

The page, the followers, and the posts. We don’t ask you to close it. Photos you took can go on the site if you want them there. The page can link to the site, and the site can link back.

A facebook.com address belongs to Meta. It is not a website domain, and there is nothing to transfer.

What you would stop paying

We are not quoting a price for a Facebook page. Meta does not sell the page as a monthly website plan on a public price list we can cite, and an ad auction is not a fixed fee. If you pay for ads, that spend is whatever you set. We will not invent a number for it. Checked 21 October 2026: there is no page subscription to cancel in the way you cancel a website builder.

You can keep posting, and you can keep advertising. A site does not replace the page.

Do you even need the site?

Not if the people who hire you already follow the page, and you are not trying to be found by someone who searches for the work in your town. In that case, stay with the page.

A site is the thing that is still there if the app is awkward on a van, that you can put on a card as an address you own, and that search and AI assistants can read when someone asks who does the job nearby. If that second look matters, the site is doing a job the page doesn’t.

How the move works

  1. Leave the Facebook page up.
  2. Ask for a free homepage preview. Tell us the trade and the towns.
  3. If you want the site, you approve the words and pick a package. Nothing is due before you have seen a draft.
  4. When it is live, put the address on the page. We connect a domain you control, or we register one in your name. That is for a one-off package. On pay-monthly the domain stays in Quorum Digital’s name until you buy it out.

What happens to your domain

The page does not hold a domain. If you already own one, it stays where it is registered and we can point it at the site. If you don’t, we register one in your name. Renewal later is the registrar’s fee, not a fee for the Facebook page. That is for a one-off package. On pay-monthly the domain stays in Quorum Digital’s name until you buy it out.

Other places people move from

Prices for the site itself are on the offer page, and the monthly comparison is on how much a small business website costs.

See a homepage before you decide

A homepage preview within 3 working days. We do 3 a week. Nothing is booked until you say yes.
